Since completion of University of Florida - Jacksonville residencies in both Emergency Medicine and Internal Medicine, Dr. Smowton has been an integral part of our physician leadership at Baptist Beaches. His many professional interests include working with NASA, being a Red Cross Medical Director, and being the NFL visiting team physician liason.

He also does cruise ship medicine, and he is on faculty at the University of Florida EM residency program and Nova Southeastern PA program. Some of his other interests are running, tennis, golf and family activities with his wife and daughters.
