Mohsen Akhlaghi, MD, MS FACEP, FAAEM

MEDICAL DIRECTOR OF SOUTHEAST GEORGIA HEALTH SYSTEM ED-BRUNSWICK & CAMDEN CAMPUSES

Dr. Akhlaghi received his medical degree from Debrecen, School of Medicine in 1994. He completed an internship in Internal Medicine and then Emergency Medicine at New York Medical College (1997-2001). He obtained a Masters of Education at University of Florida in 2010. He established the International Emergency Medicine program at UF in Jacksonville, and continued as the director of the program for 8 years. He has worked in academic positions at NY Medical College, University of Florida, and Baylor College of Medicine, and currently at Georgia school of Medicine. Dr. Akhlaghi was board certified in Emergency Medicine in 2001. He is a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physician (ACEP) and a Fellow of the American Academic of Emergency Medicine (AAEM).

He is currently the Director of the Emergency Department at South Georgia Health System at Brunswick.

Mohsen is married to Lauriel and they have two boys, Johnathan and Jordan. They have been living in Florida since 2003 and they love to play tennis.
